HALF DAY PUPPY TRAINING WORKSHOPS

There is a special magic experienced by families as they welcome a new puppy into their home.

Help your puppy to socialise with adults, children and other dogs in a relaxed, happy, confident way. Improve their ability to cope with the home and our busy environment without fear.

Condition your puppy to respond to training by learning as a family in the happy, fun atmosphere of classes specially developed to PREVENT problem behaviours such as BITING & CHEWING, HOUSE SOILING, JUMPING UP, NOT COMING WHEN CALLED, PULLING ON LEAD, FEARFUL BEHAVIOUR etc etc etc

Telephone advice is available or a home visit can be arranged if the family is experiencing difficulty before vaccinations are complete

Clicker Training makes learning fun for owners and  pups.

You will be assessed at Level 1 for your Bronze Medal and Certificate at the end of your course.

How does TTouch help your puppy to develop into an emotionally and physically  balanced adult?

Puppies grow quickly. It is often difficult for their minds to keep up with the speed at which their body grows. This affects movement and physical balance which in turn can affect the puppy's emotional development and balance.

If pups get into the habit of holding tension in certain parts of the body they can become over excitable and difficult to manage or very sensitive and reactive to being touched.

By using TTouch body work and ground work exercises an owner can build a bond more quickly, as well as enhance their pup's confidence and abilty to learn.

This all helps to reduce behaviours associated with over excitement or fear. Any puppy can become over-excited and jump up. Even a well brought up, calm pup like Cody can be encouraged to become over excited by inappropriate handling.

He quickly calms down again with some TTouch bodywork.

Most pups can jump up ... but they can learn to be calm too

A puppy who is aware of it's body and moves with confidence finds it much easier to learn to walk on a loose lead and cope with new experiences or situations.

TTouch methods are used to help puppies to learn self control. It is important that pups learn how to interact with each other but equally they need to learn how to be calm in a busy environment when it may not appropriate to play.

Confidence course is great fun for puppies and owners. Puppies are playing while learning how to walk slowly and in balance. It is a tremendous boost to emotional confidence if puppies have a good awareness of how their body moves.

The other really important lesson we want our pups to learn is how to walk at human pace, on a loose lead without pulling. If the puppy is able to walk slowly this is a more reaslistic expectation.
